Pauline E. Heberlie

Pauline E. Heberlie of Ste. Genevieve died Wednesday, May 10, 2006 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was 74 years old.

Funeral services were held Saturday, May 13, 10 a.m. at the Church of Ste. Genevieve with Reverend Daniel Mosley officiating. Burial was in Valle Spring Cemetery. Basler Funeral Home handled the arrangements.

She was born July 2, 1931, in St. Louis, a daughter of Leo and Freida (Johnson) Reid.

She was married to Dennis P. Heberlie Jr. on November 25, 1950 and he preceded her in death.

Survivors include four daughters, Mary (Mrs. Mark) Hughes, Diane (Mrs. Bill) Staffen and Cathy Bauman, all of Ste. Genevieve, and Tammy (Mrs. John) Bening of Jackson; four brothers, Bill Reid of St. Louis, Robert Reid of Roswell, New Mexico, Dave Reid of Marble Hill and Terry Reid of Perryville; and two sisters, Sue Weber of Jackson and Carol Detjen of Perryville. She also is survived by nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband she was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Dennis P. “Heb” Heberlie III and Timothy Heberlie; one daughter, Shirley Heberlie; five brothers, Paul, Howard, Ralph, Donald and J.R. Reid; and one sister, Betty Brown.

The family requests memorials to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
